Feature Request: Sync view only when tab is doubleclicked

Hello, I am finding in practice that having both options to work with at the same time (syncing the sidebar and not syncing it) is great. Would it be possible to add a config option that the sidebar is only synced when the tab is double-clicked (or a similarly convenient abstraction)?

While most of the time I find it good even on single click, the situation that really gets inconvenient is when closing files.

Double click is actually a great idea.
