Hi, I really like this app ❤️ (it's the best metronome app in the world!) but I think a tuner would be great.

Can you add a tuner to this app please?

@llxlr thanks, that would also be my response because Tack is just a metronome app, but I can understand the wish that opening Tack for practice also means you can quickly tune your instrument with one tap. Also the design would fit the rest of the app.

Hi @guguss-31, I’ve decided not to add a tuner feature, as it would significantly increase the complexity of the app and open up a whole new set of problems. Tack is meant to stay a metronome app — just as its name suggests — while tuning is best handled by a dedicated app. By “blow up,” I mean that supporting a wide range of instruments would require multiple frequency detection algorithms. That’s a major technical challenge which other dedicated tuner apps have already solved very well.
