Add "getNumberOfChanges" method to internal types

This method is not documented, but does appear in a few issues (eg #1340). A very useful function, though.

This project seems to be stale for a while now, but if you ever merge this, you could also add getCurrentPageInfo which is documented in #3574 or #109
