How do you create new symbols?

I was disappointed to find that I cannot type Compose<= to create the ≤ sign, and many others that are quite common in my work. Is there some way I can add new symbols to Compose? (Short of hacking the source code)

All the symbols are hard-coded, but if you have requests for more, go ahead and share them.
