Works on 4.0 + devices but not on 3.1.2

Works on 4.0 + devices but not on 3.1.2 device - Can u plz fix the issue or let me know where to start looking at it & fix?

Sorry, I've been busy, that, the fact that my laptop broke and also that I didn't read the notifications from github. Sorry for taking so long to respond, things should be good now =)

I won't be updating the example to work with 3.1.2. If you do want to update it, I accept pull requests :)
