Region reporting in 'significant changes monitoring mode'

  • Device: Honor 8 If I understand the manual correctly, region events should be reported immediately in the mode mentioned in the title. This does not seem to happen, reporting just follows the update parameters ( 900 sec, 500m) I did not touch the accuracy filter parameter, and the reported accuracy seems always compatible with the given region radius. The behavior with region events is the same for the 'manual monitoring mode', does not seem to work.

I am seeing this with manual mode as well. Samsung Galaxy S9+.

Region events are not being published in manual mode.

I confirm the comment of howi42, got the same behaviour here. Need to switch to move mode and back to significant move to get the "in region" message.

As a result it makes it difficult to use with home automations cause y'r never in the (for example) region home and cannot trigger events at arrival. Right now the last location is always at a few hunderd meters from my home (<500m) but never "at home".

Or are there any suggestions to get around this?
