Indirect links on folders with uploader permissions

This is more of a request for comments than a feature request. At CERN, we're finding our users are getting confused when they look at the indirect links inside of a folder they have publicly shared with uploader rights.

There, you get to the dropzone-like web to upload files, which does not allow you to navigate to subfolders.

Some of our users (owners of the public link) are going into a subfolder, grabbing the indirect link, and sharing it with people thinking the files uploaded by them will go to the subfolder. When the files end up in the root folder, they are surprised.

Do you think maybe indirect links should be hidden for subfolders of public links with uploader permissions?
