existing notes from Notes folder do not show up

I have about 1000 existing notes in owncloud's "Notes" folder from a previous oc installation. After removing it and installing ownCloud X on my NAS, then adding the Notes app, none of the existing notes show up when I switch to the notes app. Only if I create a note directly in the app does it show up.

I need this configuration because it is required by the CloudNotes iOS app. As a consequence of this issue, none of the existing notes are synced to CloudNotes.
