[BUG] Client shows auto uploaded image in both "uploaded" and "failed" section
Actual behaviour
-Tell us what happens
An auto uploaded image was uploaded (shows up in "uploaded" section on android client, and shows up on the server) but also showed up in the " failed (tap to retry)" section with the error "the file was not found in the local filesystem" even though I can still see the image in the photo manager app. Note that "the file was not found in the local filesystem" error is intermittent, but has happened a few times.
Expected behaviour
-Tell us what should happen
The file should upload successfully with no failures
Steps to reproduce
- Take an image
- Wait for error to appear
Can this problem be reproduced with the official owncloud server? (url: https://demo.owncloud.org, user: test, password: test)

The only notable log was from when I tapped "retry" on the failed download the server issued:
Integrity constraint violation: 1062 Duplicate entry
which makes sense since the phone had already uploaded this file
Hi @jsiddall! Thanks for opening a new issue! 🍻
That's strange! Do you have a screenshot of the transfers tab where we can see the duplicated entry? Does it happen everytime an auto-upload is triggered? Or was it just once? Also, it's weird that it cannot be reproduced in the official demo server, is it just in your own?
Sorry, I wasn't clear enough in the original description. The "the file was not found in the local filesystem" failure problem happens intermittently, but has happened several times in past weeks. The successful upload normally doesn't happen at the same time. I do have a screenshot (attached):
The reproducible on the demo server answer should have read "not tested". If I could reproduce on demand then uploading some test photos to the demo server would be fine, but I don't want to send all my photos to the demo server in an attempt to reproduce there.
Hi @jsiddall! Yes, it's ok, no sensible or personal data should be uploaded to the demo server, just asked if you tried for example with black pictures. But anyways, seems a device-side related problem. It would be very useful to have some logs for this so that we can see what is happening under the hood in addition to the error you stated in your first comment. If you want more privacy, you can send them to [email protected] so that no personal data is exposed here and we can check! 🤠
OK, I enabled logging and will report back the next time the issue happens.
