Sched/RM credentials do not support accented characters

It is not absolutely clear that it's a bug, but yet I was not able to use scheduler/RM credential files containing accented characters in their password. At the start of the scheduler, it complained the password was incorrect (for both accounts containing accented characters in the password).

The authentication scheme was based on LDAP (not local login.cfg file)

When I removed the accented characters, the authentication worked (I first removed the accented character in one account and noticed that this account now authenticated and not the other one).

Maybe this has to do with Locale/Encoding settings ?

OS is Linux RedHat7
