Clean up repo

Goal of this PR

Since this repo hasn't had proper maintenance for almost 6 months now due to the trie improvement work, I took some time to do some clean up:

• Uniformize unit tests and integration tests to match the testing guide we have on the knowledge base
• Fix typos
