[BUG] Save to file not working

Open Wh1t3Rabyt3 opened this issue 11 months ago • 5 comments

Hey,

When I use Metagoofil, the "-o" option does not work, even if I don't mention it. There is just file display in the terminal.

Command:

python3 metagoofil.py -d cisco.com -t pdf -o ~/test/

OS: Debian ARM64 Python version: 3.11.2

Can you help me to solve this ?

THX

Hi @Wh1t3Rabyt3

Try adding a -w to the end, so the complete command would be

python3 metagoofil.py -d cisco.com -t pdf -o ~/test/ -w

I'll have to look into maybe clarifying the switch logic.

Thanks for the tips, working well to save data to a directory :)

Why should we add -o and -w ? -o manage the path to directory and -w instructs the program to write data to the path provide by -o ?

Glad that worked :)

Been a while since I looked at the code, but a quick glance shows that -o should really imply -w as well...so maybe I can get rid of the -w switch. If you specify the directory to save files, you probably want to save those files!

If it's ok with you, I'll keep this issue open until I can update the code.

@opsdisk

Of course, leave it open, it is your tool mate ;)

Thx for the reactivity

Hé,

Lorsque j'utilise Metagoofil, l'option « -o » ne fonctionne pas, même si je ne la mentionne pas. Seul le fichier s'affiche dans le terminal.

Commande:

python3 metagoofil.py -d cisco.com -t pdf -o ~/test/ Système d'exploitation : Debian ARM64 Version Python : 3.11.2

Pouvez-vous m'aider à résoudre cela ?

Merci
