Hy Guys,

Is there a Way to create Slave Zones?

Hi

It's not immediately clear to me what it would mean to manage slave zones through the DNS UI. It would not make any sense to be able to manage records in a slave zone, so is this request just about being able to add slave zones and have them be listed, perhaps be able to trigger a manual retrieval of the zone?

ist about to add and remove slave zones. And be able to trigger a zone sync.

Kind Regards,

Bend

You wouldn't actually manage any records in a slave zone. You would simply display them, read-only, in the UI.

The use case for this is two fold:

  1. Being able to add the zone as a slave--which will cause the powerdns server to initiate a transfer from the master.
  2. Being able to view the records in that zone.

Today, if you want to add a slave zone, you must do it via some other means.
