Select New ConnectedAP is hidden

Open DiegoGasca opened this issue 6 months ago • 3 comments

Describe the bug the button for moving GSE/SMV CB between APs is hidden by default and only gets activated after clicking in the tab "Publisher", then back in the tab communication the button is now available

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create a new project
  2. Import an ICD with multiple GSE Control blocks (files with no communication section - specification files)
  3. Create two subnetworks (process and station bus)
  4. Assign the IED-AP to one of these subnetworks, by default all GSECB are assigned to it
  5. select one GSE and try to use the button for moving it to the second subnetwork "it is hidden"
  6. click on the tab "publisher", move back to tab communication and try to move the same GSE again
  7. the button is now available

Expected behavior the button should be available as long there are more than one subnetwork

Hi @DiegoGasca , I need the ICD you were working with to reproduce. But until that some more information on the behavior - at least as intended:

You can move a GSE/SMV under specific conditions that are:

  • you need to have at least 2 access point elements in the IED
  • one holds the server Server element and the other one is using the server ServerAt element.
  • both the access point are linked to a subnetwork ConnectedAP

I wonder why the behavior is different just because you have switched to another plugin.

Good to see you back Jakob

  • we do have two APs in the IED
  • we have the server and the ServetAt
  • the subnetworks don´t exist in the ICDs, they need to be created with OpenSCD (because their are specifications still)

I have tried using a single ICD file, and it still happens the same (hidden move button), please use the attached ICD file, after creating two subnetworks (PB, and SB), later assign SB AP to SB subnetwork and PB AP to PB subnetwork, and try to move one GCB from SB to PB subnetwork, you will see that the move button is hidden until you jump to the publisher tab, just after that you can jump back returning to communication tab and the move button is now available (no save, no changes, just jumping back and ford from tabs)
