File Download Error - txd dff files not downloading to client cache

Open sangtran2512 opened this issue 11 months ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug The game server is unable to serve custom character models (such as .dff and .txd files) to clients, resulting in the error: "File download error - HTTP response code said error." Despite the server being configured correctly, clients are unable to download the models to their cache.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Start the Open:MP server with a custom model on GameModeInit: AddCharModel(305, 20001, "file.dff", "file.txd");.
  2. Ensure the artwork.enable configuration is set to true and the correct path is specified for models in the config.json.
  3. Clients attempt to connect to the server and should automatically download the models.
  4. The error message "File download error - HTTP response code said error" appears when the client tries to download the models. Additional Info: The server recognizes that the model files are present because when the /skin 20001 command is executed.

Expected behavior The expected behavior is that the custom models (such as .dff and .txd files) should be automatically downloaded by the client to the cache and the character models should be loaded correctly in the game.

Are you sure your tcp port for webserver is open?

I'm sorry, I didn't know that I needed to add "bind": "0.0.0.0" and "public_addr" to the config.json. Apologies for my lack of understanding. My issue has been resolved.
