Support for Apple Silicon

Open ogomez92 opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

Hello. First of all, I appologize if this has an obvious answer. I am quite unfamiliar with this kind of software and I just want to do some playing around for personal reasons, so please bear with me. I would like to know, is it possible to run this on Apple Silicon? I know Cudatool does not support the M1 GPUs, so maybe there is an easier fix? Or is this something that would require too much effort?

Thanks guys.

impossible. mac + cuda != doesn't compute. Nvidia has been c$ck blocked from getting their cards working on mac os since high sierra. no machine learning for macOS.

"Impossible" translates to "we don't want to". The M1's Neural Engine should be a workable alternative. But for some reason unknown to the world, Nvidia has a monopoly on machine learning headspace.
