Diff is no longer tied to the source file

What version of the VS Code extension are you using?

0.4.51

What subscription do you have?

Plus

Which IDE are you using?

VSCode

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 23.6.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

  1. The diff viewer (either within the conversation or full tab) no longer allows clicking on a file or individual line in the diff to go to the source file.
  2. The diff viewer also used to update while making patches, but now the viewer is completely static.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Have codex make a patch
  2. Open the diff viewer
  3. Try to click on a line of the diff

What is the expected behavior?

  1. Click on a line in the diff or the file title in the diff viewer
  2. Opens the source file to the line that was clicked

Same! Regression in navigation:

  1. Previously, clicking the filename in “X files changed” opened the file/diff.

  2. Then it only worked after expanding and clicking a code line.

  3. Now neither the filename nor the diff lines navigate anywhere. Please fix “open file from diff” in the webview.
