Feature: Workspace Contributors Endpoint
Current behavior
Our current workspace endpoint is set up for the original concept of "tracked contributors" that we had laid out for the first iteration of Workspaces.
Because of the increased complexity of that original implementation, we've chosen to put the idea of a static list of contributors to track on hold and go back to the original concept of being able to access insights on contributors, where contributors = people who have made a contribution to a repository.
This replicates the way Repository insights work, where a user tracks a list of repositories, and the contributors tab shows who has contributed to those repositories:
Suggested solution
@jpmcb this is a WIP concept, but:
Use case
This endpoint will be used to populate the "Contributors" tab with insights.
This tab will answer questions to the user like: Leaderboards
- Who are the most active contributors to this workspace? Are they internal or external to the org?
- Who are contributors with the highest contributor confidence?
- Who are contributors that are drifting away?
- What are specific contributors working on (in relation to my workspace)?
