Search to display Draft glossaryTerms as well

Open DovileKr opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. We use OMD to define terms for projects and users work with terms at different stages (draft and approved). However Search only returns Approved items and it confused the users. We often get "why I can't find...".

Describe the solution you'd like Search returns all matching glossaryTerms, however it either: a) indicated the status b) there is a toggle to "include draft" same as "include deleted"

Describe alternatives you've considered User training, but it would be too big of the effort for such a small thing Always approve terms, but it is not correct

Additional context Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.

Example: For example:https://sandbox-beta.open-metadata.org/explore/glossaries?search=unique%20testing&sort=_score&page=1&size=10&sortOrder=desc doesn't return https://sandbox-beta.open-metadata.org/glossary/%22Bug.Test%22.unique%20testing (edited)

I will give you an example. We are mostly agreeing on important business terms in the projects. What we are doing - we are tagging those terms with a project name. Then we share the tag pre-filtered links with stakeholders. Naturally some terms will be in draft, some in approved, nevertheless all represent the scope of project work. Now we don't have means to share that "view". We want to stop copying in pasting the lists in ppts and excels and use omd links - to highlight it as a golden source and collaboration environment. Ideally, we should be able to share tag pre-filtered links (only approved or including draft) depending on the audience.
