Inconsistency in Area fields

Why do fields like AddedSqFt and RemovedSqFt are integers while TotalFinishedSqFt, TotalUnifinishedSqFt and friends are text? shouldn't there be consistency?

Just noticed this same issue. Seems like the logical fix would be making all the square footage fields as integers (or any type of number generally).
