@franklywatson - could you assign a new DRI for this? And what's the latest status?
The status of this remains at proposal stage which (at a technical level) has been accepted, but not formally as a FLIP. This would still need design, planning and implementation to continue. However, since this has not been prioritized I don't think it makes sense to assign anyone at the current time
Dete has kindly volunteered to own this entire topic of networking layer for direction, conceptual validation, and leading the next steps on addressing the Crescendo networking overload scenario. We could assign him as the strategic owner of this domain.
