@jazzholicbae thanks for interesting in the TokenBridge. In fact we already have the open issue for this functionality: https://github.com/poanetwork/tokenbridge-contracts/issues/65. It is postponed so far since there are no obvious stake holders for this feature.

Could you share use cases you see such kind of bridge will be useful for you? Did you consider to implement a new pair of mediator contracts for AMB to run native-to-native bridge?

I am planning to deploy something like xETH with 1 second POA chain to see if we can use better ethereum. Yes I am considering to use a new pair of mediator contracts.

You can use WETH on Ethereum side instead of ETH and deploy a network like xDai with bridged WETH Here is the instruction on how to deploy a chain like xDai https://www.xdaichain.com/for-developers/stable-chain-network-deployment

1-sec blocks on AuRa with 10mm gas are subject to relatively easy to execute denial of service attak which may stall the consensus and hang the network

I don't think WETH - xETH bridge wouldn't be helpful as ETH - xETH bridge, if the denial of service attack is the problem we could lower the gaslimit of the block.
