Too Many Results
I'm in a position where I need to update my local data cache and my query is now returning the error "Too many results", even though I'm specifying pagination options.
I'm trying to get a list of films by year.
Previously I'd perform a wild-carded search to farm the data as such: -
http://www.omdbapi.com/?type=movie&r=json&y=2017&s=e&page=1&apikey=
Since I'm not looking for a specific film, I want a list of films for the given year.
I can understand some level of throttling has been implemented, but does anyone have a solution on the best approach?
I am having the same problem. Is this issue solved?
I am facing same issue, no luck yet

Limiting the result set while receiving the total result count would be good. Even with large results. Show page 1/10 results/ of 10000 results. Extremely simple searches will get thousands of results/pages. Large continuous searches will, most likely, be generated through paid subscriptions. I don't know what the implementation is, but I suppose there is some kind of throttling. I can't find an API for IMDb, so it's probably based on requests sent to IMDb.
+1. I started to getting this error after made few hits.
