After a brief look, the project contains proprietary Google components, advertisements, and trackers. Is there a version without all of these?

According to Exodus there are 3 trackers. Additionally Google GMS is proprietary and as far as I know, at least the two listed Google services are too.

Just an FYI, microG is a FOSS implementation of GMS, so GMS isn't necessarily proprietary.

You can't expect someone having microg on it's system since it requires non trivial modifications of the system and/or a custom ROM.
You may get around with replacing it, but GMS itself is proprietary.
