Alternative solution
First of all, I’d like to thank the creator for their efforts. I’ve been using Bluesnooze for years, and it has been a great help.
Some time ago, I needed a way to control not only Bluetooth but also Wi-Fi, as my Mac would stay tethered to my phone even in standby. I wanted to share my solution with the community.
With the Shortcuts app, it’s easy to create two shortcuts to switch Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on or off. However, Shortcuts doesn’t support sleep/wake events as triggers.
That’s where the app Shortery (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/shortery/id1594183810) comes in. While some features in Shortery require in-app purchases, the sleep/wake triggers are free.
Now, Shortery reliably runs my on/off shortcuts on sleep and wake, making it my go-to solution for managing both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
However, there are some problems with my MacBook Air M4. I wonder if you have the same problem. When using wake-up as a trigger to run the Bluetooth operation, it takes about 20 seconds for the Bluetooth shortcut to be successfully triggered. After another 3 seconds, the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard can be used.
Both, wake-up and sleep, trigger instantly on my mac (Macbook Pro M3 Pro) when closing/opening the lid. I do however get the rather annoying 3 second delay until the keyboard and mouse are connected. But I blame that on Logitech, as both take 3 seconds to connect after I switch them physically on.
