Running this from the jar, getting a SLF4J(W): No SLF4J providers were found. error

Not incredibly familiar with running software from a jar. When I start the software, it runs for a while, but then fails. I cannot check the log because of this error. I've looked into it, and am not exactly sure what to do to solve this issue. Is there a simple solution? The link thats presented (https://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#noProviders) talks about the package maintainer making some changes, but as an end user, I'm stumped. Thanks.
