Attempting to end instances of riva_server

Open Goddard opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

So I noticed once a riva_server is started it doesn't appear to ever get terminated. I am using recognizestreaming and I end() it in nodejs, but it fails to kill the process.

Can you elaborate "but it fails to kill the process." ? StreamingRecognize() is a client side call and it does not control lifecycle of Riva server. Riva server is started with riva_start.sh and stopped with riva_stop.sh scripts. Please refer https://riva-builder-01.nvidia.com/main/quick-start-guide.html

If you use htop the thread still remains. The threads never get destroyed.

I can repeatedly call to start a new instance with grpc and then end it but looking at htop you will see hundreds of threads.

I see this with htop on the host system not the container.
