Windows 10 - Command Prompt: Incorrect Number of Characters Announced when Performing a Select All

Open elliott94 opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

Apologies if this has already been logged - I wasn't able to find a similar issue. Tested with the latest Alpha snapshot (alpha-17437,cda0a3c0) on Windows 10 1703 X64.

STR:

  1. Open a new Command Prompt, and perform any action to generate some additional text on the screen

  2. Perform a Select All with CTRL + A

When this is done, NVDA will announce many more characters than were in fact on the screen - this can be observed by copying the content of the window to the Clipboard, and then pasting it into an application to perform a character count or similar.

Is this still reproducible with NVDA 2024.2? cc: @josephsl, @codeofdusk, @lukaszgo1
