Chinese character will be announced twice in CMD application window.

Hi:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Press win+r to open run dialog.
  1. Input cmd then press enter key.
  2. Press numpad7 or numpad 9 to navigate the window to find Chinese character.

Expected behavior:

All characters will be announced normally.

Actual behavior:

All Chinese character will be announced twice.

System configuration:

NVDA version:all

NVDA Installed or portable: install

Other information:

Windows version:windows 10 any version

Other questions:

Does the issue still occur after restarting your PC?

Have you tried any other versions of NVDA?yes

It's not new feature. There are still presist bug, not a perfect version of NVDA.

cc: @cary-rowen, @wmhn1872265132, @hwf1324 is this still an issue in NVDA last 64bit alpha or NVDA 2025.3.2 and Windows 11? Does it make a difference when using new terminal or legacy Conhost?
