Other questions
Does the issue still occur after restarting your computer?
yes
Have you tried any other versions of NVDA? If so, please report their behaviors.
this issue is also identified in nvda 2021.3.5
If NVDA add-ons are disabled, is your problem still occurring?
this is a clean version without addon
Does the issue still occur after you run the COM Registration Fixing Tool in NVDA's tools menu?
not tried
Issue confirmed on my side.
Narrator also reports "quick access 1 of 2" even if it does not reports the levels. Thus the issue is to be notified to Microsoft.
If you have suggest number of items on and it is that which is giving the count, then this can make errors identifying the start and count an extra 1 on everything it sees. Its been a thing for many years, and I don't think a certain shark is immune to this sometimes either! If it is not the case that this is what you refer to, then I don't know as most numbered things that are indicated by the api seem to work very well. Brian
Narrator also reports "quick access 1 of 2" even if it does not reports the levels.
Hmm, so it is not an issue of nvda. Actually, I have added several folders to quick access, like the Dropbox folder. NVDA report that Dropbox is level 1, but even I try to collapse the Dropbox, it still not collapsed to level 0, so probably there is an item of level 0 is hidden?
Hi @LittleStar-VIP please use feedback tool in Windows to report this to Microsoft.
@feerrenrut Yes, just reported.
In Windows 11 this does not occur. NVDA reports in the tree view "beginning of quick access" and then reports on every down arrow key the items that you can enable for quick access, and then nVDA reports "end of quick access" on the last item of the quick access area. All the items on the root of the tree view are reported as level 1, and if you expand something, the sub items are reported as level 2.
So this behaves as expected in Windows 11. Is it the same on last update of Windows 10?
