Continuing to maintain this Module

Open t1mwillis opened this issue 5 years ago • 8 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. It’s clear that this module is no longer being actively maintained. A few have continued to respond to bug reports and offer help, but I think maintaining the module would benefit the community.

Describe the solution you'd like Determine a sustainable method of maintaining the module:

  • Bringing other users onboard
  • Improving documentation to reduce issue report load
  • Update dependencies on a regular basis

Describe alternatives you've considered I’ve reached out in the Vuetify discord about alternative “Vuetify approved” modules, but their focus is currently on Vue 3 compatibility.

Here's hoping that we can keep the ball rolling on this module in conjunction with the (hopefully soon!) release of Vuetify3.0-Alpha

Yes, would be great to get vuetify updates. Maybe vuetify would make this official ? @kevinmarrec

@MentalGear if you just want Vuetify component and style updates, you can install a newer version of Vuetify. Instead of using the version that vuetify-module uses, it will use the one you specify in your package.json file.

Interesting, but if vuetify can be installed normally on nuxt, why exactlly is there a separate nuxt module ?

Same reason as any you use a module - it's an ease-of-use integration to make starting up with nuxt just a bit faster, rather than having to manually bootstrap all of your plugins.

@MentalGear I honestly took for granted all the wonderful things this module does for me under the hood. Trying to duplicate those things via a plugin is what made me want to keep using this! 😆

Haha, thx for your input! @t1mwillis Could you give a few examples of what was the most difficult to add? Maybe would be best to just fork this module and up the vuetify dependency ?
