I heard that you're running out of credit on Amazon, Google, and Azure TTS.
Describe the solution you'd like DECtalk is an old but robust text to speech system, with phonetic notation, customizable voice tones in addition to 7 defaults, and a lightweight footprint. Plus, the old version is available for free because it is abandonware!
Describe alternatives you've considered There used to be a bot called Aeiou that broadcast DECtalk-synthesized voices to a Discord voice channel, but it got discontinued. I now know that it is possible though.
Additional context DECtalk was originally developed by professor Dennis Klatt, a close friend of professor Stephen Hawking, who used versions of DECtalk to speak in his signature synthesized voice. It was popularized by the video game Moonbase Alpha.
