Importing Cookies

Open MDJonas opened this issue 10 months ago • 2 comments

I want to import my Cookies from Firefox (Mac). I've been using the Forget-Me-Not cookie manager How do I import the existing whitelisted/saved cookies?

If I can get MILK up and running, I'll be very glad to make a contribution.

Thanks for your patience and sorry for the delayed response!

You're right! Different cookie managers can use different formats for exporting and importing data, which can lead to incompatibility.

At the moment, this extension doesn't support exporting or importing block lists or protected lists, though that's something that might be added in the future.

If you're looking to import cookies from Firefox, I also publish the MILK extension for Firefox, which uses a compatible format. Exporting from there should work smoothly with this extension.

Dear Rafael -

Thanx for getting back to me. I’ve been using a cookie manager called Forget-Me-Not, and I have the MILK Firefox extension.

I just don’t know how to get the cookies I want to keep into MILK.

I can export the cookies in a json file, but that’s as far as I got.

If there’s an easy fix, I’m interested, but I don’t want to trouble you about this.

Best,

Michael Jonas
