parenting and how to enable

ok, so here is the deal this is something I was able to do in the past on the past version of ACF I was able to ENABLE parenting on all ACF guns (now it had to be a weld-parent or the gun would stop firing) that was easy on that one how would I do it on this one as I have that enabled on the other so I can make more elaborate contraptions. I would like to do what I did to that one....well I wanna do the same to the new one so my question is: how would I go about getting it to work? I don't care what I have to do in order to get that to work please and all help would l be welcome

also looks like some of the weapons are spewing out this error when fired (this is one example)
