Unable to create a 'DbContext' of type 'ApplicationDbContext' While trying to create migrations npgsql

Hello folks, I've been trying to switch SQL Server to PostgreSQL but I couldn't handle it. I'm following clean architecture. The first error that I encountered was:

AletheiaSoft.Infrastructure.Data.ApplicationDbContextInitialiser[0];An error occurred while initialising the database.;System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'Npgsql.EntityFrameworkCore.PostgreSQL.Storage.Internal.Mapping.NpgsqlBigIntegerTypeMapping' threw an exception

Then I realized this is because of migrations. I just disable migrating and seeding so only thing that working was connecting. But afterwards I just got this error:

Unable to create an object of type 'ApplicationDbContext'. For the different patterns supported at design time That was all error message.

My stack is : Dotnet 8.0 PostgreSql : 8.0

Same issue here, can't create migration also basically can't do any operations on db because of NpgsqlBigIntegerTypeMapping exception but only when using net9.0

Yes i cant do any operation too. Only difference is that my dotnet version which is 8.0

Same Issue with Npgsql.EntityFrameworkCore.PostgreSQL 8.0.4 and Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore 8.0.7

Sorry for not answering this earlier. This sort of exceptions ia almost a result of incompatible mixing of packages (between EF itself and the PostgreSQL provider), as @ee99ee suggested above. Check your csproj and make sure that package versions are aligned.

As some time has passed, I'll go ahead and close this issue. However, if anyone is still running against this issue, please post your full csproj and a minimal, runnable code sample showing the error occuring, and I'll investigate as needed.
