Feature request: Ignore list
Some software packages can update themselves (Opera, Thunderbird, Firefox,
...). Npackd does not distinguish an updated version from the original. It
would be helpful to let the user choose which applications to hide (in
application list of npackd).

- Changed state: Thinking
- Added labels: Type-Enhancement
- Removed labels: Type-Defect
Agreed, could be a tag to allow ignoring those in the 'Updatable' list.
Or maybe 1.17 can detect that the software (Opera, etc...) updated itself and
update its internal DB so ensure it does no longer bug the user with an update.

I'd like to have an entry in the package's context menu to Hide permanently this package. There is software in the list that I'll likely never install and it would be cool to be able to let users unclutter the list.
