chante way mat loads for shillouete portrait
First of all, great too!
I'm using it with silhouette portrait and its hard to adjust the paper because the mat (or paper) its loaded different from the (windows soft Silhouette Studio). Its a bit hard to hard to explain in English, so I made a diagram :)
the fact it's that when you cut the design its the mat goes (loads/move) complete up to the bottom and makes the cut starting from there instead of from the edge that is fisrt loaded.
thanks
Thank you, but I did not write the tool. I only forked it to add the Silhouette Portrait.
If I understand your request, you want to align your design using the upper left corner? Can you make a file with only a small circle at this location and use that to align it?
Hi, Yes I want the design to be cut starting at the upper left corner, that is the same way you see on the screen, feeding the cutter from the front.
I didn't understand the second question? don't know how can you "align" the design. Do you mean by using reg marks?
PD: another thing that could be nice its try to join the effort with the project inkcut. I made a feature request asking for support for this cutters. Maybe could be some collaboration between you, Both projects are great, open source and running on Linux.
I think your best bet will be to find who originally wrote robocut and see if they will add this feature.

ok, no problem. I've already forked the project and made the modifications. I added a 180deg rotation before cutting and solve the issue. I planning to make other minor modifications later. Robocut it's very usefull but not very "prolix", I think it needs some work to improve it, but I steel wondering if it worth spending time modifying robocut or trying to support silhouette protocol on inkcut.
I think there is a lack of this kind of software in the open source word.
thanks

Yeah, I don't think there is a very polished solution out there.
When I first got my cutter I did some research to see if there was a good solution for cutting pcb stencils on Linux and wrote my results up here : http://www.hackeda.com/blog/start-printing-pcb-stencils-for-about-200/ maybe you will find something useful in it. One program I didn't get a chance to check out, but seems like it might be capable (but maybe not user friendly) is this one: http://pmonta.com/blog/2012/12/25/smt-stencil-cutting/
If you want to merge your changes back in after you're done just let me know.
Or if you want your branch to be the man repository that is good too, I can just put a note in mine telling people to go to yours.
