Lock thumb axis?

Is there any way to lock the axis the thumb can be moved on? I'm wanting to use this library to create a color slider, but currently it allows the user to move the thumb partially out of view and it ends up under the top or bottom edge. If I could lock the thumb to the X axis, this could be used as a slider.
