LV2 Plugin
Why not make a plugin out of this?
It will be like Kontakt of the free software world
What would be the benefit though? We already have carla-rack and carla-patchbay which can be loaded via lv2 plugin. IMHO, this is better since it can be accessed directly via MIDI
I think it would be awesome having the library and layering features as a plugin. The current SF2 plugin implementations lack the library search workflow. Carla is definitely a contender, but the library doesn't feel as optimised for soundfonts, especially SF2s with many programs. Furthermore, SFZero is currently very lacking while the Linuxsampler plugins are uncomfortable to work with.
That being said, a plugin will not happen unless I have a *lot* of free time at some point. The current plugins work well enough and Konfyt's main purpose is better suited as a standalone application.
