Npcap Bug Report - Error 0x80070002 failed to install npcap service
I cannot install NPCAP on Windows 10 with error Error 0x80070002. I changed the group policy to "Allow administrators to override Device Installation Restriction policies" and it still fails. Always fails at installing NDIS driver/npcap service.
This is a fresh windows install and I previously had it installed and working before reinstalling windows.
These are the logs, I don't see the other ones mentioned in the user's guide install.log NPFInstall.log
did you ever figure this out? also having this issue over a year later.
Oh man, I got it installed somehow but I don't remember :-| I think I uninstalled wireshark, npcap, and maybe nmap, and then installed wireshark and let it install an older version of npcap automagically, maybe?
