Cannot play recorded videos from timeline

Hi and thanks for this great hack, but I´m sorry to tell you that I have found a problem.

Without this hack, it works to playback recorded video from the timeline in the App. When I activate the hack, the videos can not be loaded from the timeline (when I move the timeline to a recorded video, the App tries to open the video but all I get is an timeout message after some seconds that says the video could not be read (zero percent is loaded), would you like to "Cancel" or "Try to load again").

Otherwise, the other hack functions works great (Telnet, FTP, logging and timezone settings). If I open the recorded videos (that can be "seen on the timeline") with WinSCP (FTP) connected to the cameras SDcard, there is no problem to open them.

What could it be in this hack that prevent the videos to load from the timeline? Please, I hope you can fix this problem.

Note: I use the latest Mi Home App (version 3.10.6). I have two Mi360 cameras and the problem is on both of them.

Regards, Gusten58

Hi, Do you still have the issue if you disable timezone hack ?

Happy New Year

Hi and Happy New Year to you to.

I can´t find any settings in "config.cfg" to disable just the timezome hack. Is this possible? I only see disable functions for Telnet, FTP, language and language trace logging.

If I delete all hack-files on SDcard and restart, the replay of recorded videos from timeline works.

If you comment the line "XIAOMI_HACK_TIMEZONE" in the config.cfg, it should disable the timezone hack Do you have the issue with videos which are recorded on demand, or automatically when motion is detected ?

Hi,

If I comment the line "XIAOMI_HACK_TIMEZONE" the timezone will be set to CST-8 (Chinese Standard Time) and the replay of videos from the timeline works. If I set the timezone to CET-2CEST,M3.5.0,M10.5.0/3 (I live i Sweden) the timeline video replay stop working. If I open the video directly from SDcard with WinSCP, the video has the right Swedish timestamp inside the video (the directory with the video files has the right Swedish date and the video filename has the right Swedish time. Something seems to go wrong in the App when the timezone is changed to other than Chinese.

Answer to your question, the videos are recorded automatically when motion is detected.

Another strange thing is that even if the timezone is set to Chinese CST-8, the timeline date is one day after the actual day (see attached picture):

But in video the right date information is recorded. This must be a bug in the software (has nothing to do with your hack :-).

Doesn´t you have the same problem that I have with the timeline?

It's the same for me. When I use the timezone hack the MiHome app cannot find any recorded video. And yes, the timeline in the app is one day behind. The files are correct (file date and time on sdcard and timestamp in the video).

So there must be a problem for the app I think concerning evaluating the correct day in the playback timeline when the timezone hack is used.

My cam is configured for motion detection recording.

Current firmware is 3.3.10

I hope this can be fixed. And Thanx for the great work!
