I have an issue with this too - it used to look like an amazing yellow highlighter, now it's not rendering correctly

I believe the highlighter has been intentionally changed from the amazing yellow one.

Does anyone know if it's possible to bring it back with something like a CSS snippet, in such a way that it won't get nuked by updates to theme?

Another option is just to revert to an older version of the theme.
