[FEATURE] add support for xz-compression

Was thinking on adding support for handling xz-compressed files, as we do right now with gzip, to nf-test. Had this idea while looking at nf-core/modules#526, and started coding something up over here but lost track of it over the new year. IIRC it compiles, but is lacking automated tests. @sateeshperi @LokiLuciferase do you it makes sense to support this?
