Import of simple XLSX/CSV from a Linux machine (LibreOffice Calc) fails fully

Open digisus opened this issue 5 months ago • 0 comments

Steps to reproduce

  1. Received XLSX file from a windows user with one column of type text
  2. opened in LibreOffice calc on Linux and exported as CSV (without delimiter, with ", with '; with semicolon, with comma, I tried a ton of combinations)
  3. Tried various ways to import this very simple file... as unchanged XLSX, as CSV variants...

Expected behavior

It should just work as typical imports work, what can I say. 🤷‍♂️

Actual behavior

  1. Import never worked, but with variants, either: a. If got stuck in a loop asking to assign columns but did not show any columns to select for assignment b. simply failed by saying "unknown error".
  2. It tried import on table creation and I tried import after creating an empty table first. Nothing worked.

Uninstalled for now. Thanks for looking into that.
