Notes adding '.' unwanted characters

Describe the bug Notes adds a full stop (period) when I insert more than one space

To Reproduce Open a note. Insert a character followed by 2 spaces. Notes inserts a '.' character

Expected behavior Notes should not try to "correct" my input. At the very least this behaviour should be optional, defaulted to OFF.
