Add an option for share link expiration

Open michag86 opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

I don't want to keep all my mail attachments in nextcloud forever. It would be useful if there was an option to set an expiration period. And if the recipient would also receive information about it, that would be great.

Same here. This is why I created this PR https://github.com/nextcloud/nextcloud-filelink/pull/67 some time ago.

Initially I also wanted to modify the comment that is appended to the mail, mentioning the expiration exact date. Didn't find a solution for this yet.

Same here. I think this is even a security issue because you have to delete or remove the share manually making the link exposed. The option of expiration period or deletion after the recipient's download would be a great improvement security wise.

@antonol68 Deleting the shared file after the link is expired is IMHO clearly a responsibility of the cloud service, not the TB-extension.

I also think the option to set an expiration date for a link would be a great improvement. Regarding the delete I agree with alfred.
