Add comment function for media files

User type: Both Logged-in and public user User level: Beginners

Description

Create the ability to comment each individual media files with Text and emojis. Depending on user's or sharing permissions the users can add comments to the media files. Public users must provide a username.

Benefit / value

The funtion would benefit the social aspect of the platform, since it is meant for sharing. Commenting private pictures of your family and friends would be fun at least, in business environments it could improve productivity by bundeling media files and thoughts / ideas. This funtion would greatly improve the sharing capabilities in conjunction with the gallery app.

I share picture galleries with family on my instance and I don't use Facebook so think this would be a great feature to have to discuss the pictures outside of Big Brother's gaze.

Nextcloud already has a file comment system so perhaps this can be used and just exposed to the use through the gallery view?

Is there a way to do this already? I agree the comments functionality for files could apply here and work. Needs to work with the mobile app too. Also going to search for a ratings app that the family could use to rate photos. You can already set favorites but looking for more. I too look to use next cloud rather than Facebook etc.
