How to enable Plugin tabs;

Open cerebrux opened this issue 5 years ago • 13 comments

The Document Server has a feature called Plugins that adds extra functionality, like translator, embedding youtube videos, thesaurus, photo editing etc. The Plugins are open source and availabe here: https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/sdkjs-plugins

I tried to enable the Plugins tab but I must be doing something wrong:

  1. Download/Clone https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/sdkjs-plugins
  2. Move the sdkjs-plugin folder to /usr/share/nginx/nextcloud/apps/documentserver_community/
  3. Give the folder sdkjs-plugin appropriate permissions (sudo chown -R www-data:www-data sdkjs-plugin)
  4. Open a Example.odt
  5. No Plugins tab.

Server configuration

  • OS: Ubuntu 18.04.4
  • Web server: Nginx
  • Database: Mariadb
  • PHP version: 7.2
  • Nextcloud version: 18.0.2
  • Updated from an older Nextcloud/ownCloud or fresh install: Fresh Install
  • Where did you install Nextcloud from: Nextcloud website

Would love to use Plugins, too.

Can a developer confirm whether this is supported or not at the moment? The screenshot on https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/documentserver_community shows a "Plugins" tab
