How about a ARM Version for the M1 Macs?
ARM64 Desktop client should really be considered. I think Herman_I is right, here: https://help.nextcloud.com/t/windows-10-arm64-client-support/104236/4
How about a ARM Version for the M1 Macs?
Found #2659 where the MacOS M1 ARM Version is also discussed.
+1. It is not only about supporting Windows ARM on bare metal (somebody mentioned surface pro), but also supporting Windows ARM running within ARM macOS (virtualisation) which is basically only meaningful way to run MSW in ARM (M series) macOS host (using both QEMU (UTM) and Parallels).
This is now a super relevant discussion as Snapdragon X chips has been released, and a bunch of Windows 11 Copilot+ laptops just arrived. I am writing this on my Surface Pro 11, running ARM64. Any chance this could be a build target for the future?
Please put this on the fast track if possible. These new ARM windows laptops are very good.
Dropping in from my Lenovo T14s with Snapdragon chip to request a native Windows ARM64 build.
+1 from my Surface Pro 11. :-)
+1 from my Surface Laptop 7. These new chips are really good!
+1 from my Surface Pro 11. Great machine but the non native Nextcloud App seems to sip more power than necessery and it doesn't work fully. It sometimes hangs during synchronisation.
+1
+1 from my new Surface Laptop 7

I got a Microsoft Surface Laptop7 with Snapdragon X Elite. The Nextcloud client works via emulation, but Nextcloud is the tool I always have running and is a must-have for me. It would be great if this was available natively for arm64, too.
Is there any hope that the nextcloud client for desktop will also be available compiled for Windows ARM64 in the near future? Or is this not currently on the agenda?
Installed this on my ARM laptop, the sync seems to be working but seeing a lot of visual issues. Hoping for even a beta. Anything would be great.
but seeing a lot of visual issues.
Add a screenshot and description please
+1 from my Surface Pro 11. An x86 installation of nextcloud uses way too much battery because of the prism emulation x86-ARM.
+1 also from an Surface Pro 11
Going to leave this here https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/155713 in case anyone wants to fork and experiment in the meantime.
