Adding too long text for a card results in Deck ignoring your update and you losing all text
Steps to reproduce
add a short card, then update the car with some really long text
Expected behaviour
either allowing any length of text in card or an error and ability to let me change the text before deleting everything I typed
Actual behaviour
cancels the update of card

@juliushaertl There is a lengthcheck in place, the error message is not really visible though as it is black and white and not red or something shiny. Just ran into the same problem. I don't understand, why there is a 1000 char limit. Seems not enough, should be changed imho, as no other platform I know has a char limit that low (with the exception of maybe twitter).
I'm seeing similar symptoms here: some cards, whether they previously had long descriptions or not, cannot be updated with long descriptions now. Creating a new card with a long description (and even updating it after that) seem to work find as a work-around. But I have server logs of a database issue, in addition to that 1000 char limit.

This seems to happens because btree indexes are limited in length on postgresql. Is it possible to modify the index for just considering the begin of the text ? Is it possible to use an other type of index than btree ? (GIST ?)
